Fixed Vacuum Recovery System - IND200P

This animation outlines the principle of operation on an IND200P vacuum recovery unit. This system comprises of three component parts; the floor hopper, silo and vacuum unit. The silo is mounted directly above a blast machine and all the reclaimed abrasive is cleaned and fed back to the blast machine. The oversize and fines waste is separated via a fixed sieve and reverse pulse filter unit. This type of machine is the ideal tool to convert from expendable abrasive to a recyclable system for the minimum investment.

Automated Indexing Table Machine - A200

Hodge Clemco's range of automated equipment includes an indexing machine designed for high production output. Our A200 model can be fitted with 6, 8 or 12 satellite tables which can be fitted with fixtures to hold products from 150mm diameter x 300mm high. The operator loads the products onto the turntable from the front opening door. The operator also offloads the components from this location. The multiple blast guns are located on adjustable arms so they can be positioned to suit a wide range of product types. Recipricators can also be fitted to manupulate the guns in front of the rotating satellite tables. This gives better cleaning results on awkward or difficult to clean products. The heavy duty nature of this machine allows it to be operated with a wide range of abrasives and production can be further increased by utilising a pick and place robot for loading/offloading operations.

Scraper Floor Recovery

The scraper floor recovery system is an excellent method of recovering abrasive from a blastroom floor back to an IND200P or Bucket Elevator system. This method of recovery utilises pivoting blades mounted on a reciprocating carriage. On the forward stroke the abrasive is pushed forward and on the return stroke the blade pivots and rides over the abrasive before returning back to the start position. The triple-sealed bearing units ensure that the carriages run with a smooth operation which also helps to reduce maintenance. Our scraper floors are designed to operate with pneumatic actuators which reduces running costs although an electric version is also available if specifically requested. The scraper floor unit requires the smallest foundation pit of any form of recovery system available.

Bucket Elevator with Scalping Drum

Hodge Clemco's Belt and Bucket Elevator system is a tried and tested design and is specifically suited for dusty environments and high production applications. The Bucket Elevator recovers the abrasive from a metering chute fed from a gravity hopper, scraper floor or screw conveyor. The abrasive and contamination lifted by the buckets mounted onto the elevator belt. The media is discharged into a scalping drum which removes oversize contamination automatically. The dust is removed from the reusable abrasive via an air wash from the dust collector. The cleaned material then gravitates through to a silo mounted above the blast machine[s]. The capacity of the silo and the quantity of outlets are selected to suit the application.

Reverse Pulse Dust Collector

Our range of dust collectors includes both bag type and reverse pulse cartridge filter systems. In particular, cartridge filters are used on specialist applications or very dusty environments. The cartridges trap any dust conveyed in the airstream from the process and the clean air is vented to atmosphere through a silencer. To ensure the dust collector operates efficiently the filters are regularly cleaned using a jet of compressed air. This air jet causes an internal pulse inside the filters which dislodges trapped dust on the filter which falls to the waste bins below the hopper. This method of cleaning, coupled to the extra filter area ensures that the unit can operate for longer periods in dustier environments than other forms of filter system.

Aquagrit Slurry Blast Machine

The robust Aquagrit Slurry Blast units are ideal for heavy industrial cleaning applications. The abrasive media is totally saturated in water within the system fully dampening any airborne fines and dust during the blasting process. The mix of abrasive to water is approximately 50:50. Recommended abrasives are from 1mm particle size upwards. All Aquagrits are manufactured to the Hodge Clemco contractor machine standards and accept Clemco spares. The pressure regulator fitted allows nozzle pressures from 10psi to 110psi giving total flexibility for cleaning or blasting almost any structure.

APH600CE Blasters Helmet

Hodge Clemco's range of PPE has been developed over many years to provide optimum protection and comfort, for the operator. Our new APH600CE blasters helmet further improves the success of the 60 series. The visor system comprises of an inner, intermediate and outer lenses which coupled to a heavy duty hinge and latch system ensure that the mask is fully sealed from the blasting environment. A visual airflow indicator is fitted inside the helmet and instantly warns if the air supply drops below the statutory requirement. The elasticated neck band and cape ensure the operator is always protected from any dust and debris present during the blast process. This new helmet has been proved to be the most robust and comfortable on the market today and is fully backed up with a complete range of spare parts.

Automated Conveyor Cabinet

At Hodge Clemco we also design and manufacture bespoke equipment, the cabinet shown is a semi-automated conveyor cabinet allowing a product to be put on the conveyor at one end of the cabinet, which is then fed through the cabinet past a series of blasting nozzles and then fed out the other side. This allows a continuous blasting production line allowing the operative to spend their time loading and unloading without the need to start and stop the blasting process. Whatever the requirement Hodge Clemco have the facilities and expertise to make your requirements a reality.

Soft Clean Machine 1448NC

The 1448NC Softclean unit has been designed for the restoration and renovation industry. It is capable of handling all the abrasive media in the Hodge Clemco range, but has special design features to facilitate the delivery of micro abrasives such as calcium carbonate and bicarbonate of soda.

With an operating pressure as low as 0.5 bar / 8 psi the Softclean offers unlimited cleaning potential and is able to tackle delicate tasks such as the cleaning of furniture, domestic woodwork such as doors, staircases and window frames, antique vehicles, faced brickwork, plasterboard and delicate stonework right up to the cleaning of heavy steelwork and concrete removal.

Ibix Portable Blaster

The IBIX range of ultra portable blast machines are designed with portability in mind. The unique IBIMAR range has low maintenance and can easily be taken into confined areas making it ideal for shipping and offshore industries.

The high grade aluminium construction makes the unit very light and at the same time robust. Wheels are fitted to allow the unit to be towed in a trolly form but the IBIX machines can also be operated like a back-pack.

Two versions of this machine are available to suit most budgets and application requirements.

Unlike conventional blast pots the IBIX units utilize a unique pistol style gun and nozzle arrangement which doubles as a deadman system for safety reasons.

E10A Eductomatic - Closed Circuit Blasting System

When containment of dust and abrasive is necessary, the Eductomatic is an essential tool.

A range of heads are available to provide a seal against most surfaces A 360 degree swivel blast head enables cleaning at all angles and with at total weight of 3 kgs it is light and manoeuvrable. Air volumes of 33-60 cfm at 90 p.s.i. are required to power the unit. Abrasive will normally be of a recyclable type which is cleaned by the unit with all dust contained in an attached dust bag or for production use in a separate dust collector. With easy filling and a blast pattern of approximately 32mm diameter the Eductomatic is a clean and simple unit to operate, ideal for those difficult areas.

Eductoblast EDB75 Closed Circuit System

By combining Hodge Clemco's standard portable blast cleaning equipment and abrasive recovery system, an effective and efficient closed circuit blast system has been developed. The Eductoblast is an air powered unit and is ideally suited for use with metallic abrasives. For other commonly used abrasives the addition of a spent material collection hopper is recommended. This collection hopper is particularly useful for safe disposal of lead based coatings
