A leading company in Scotland within the marine and defence industry has had a new Hodge Clemco 10m x 5m x 2.5m insulated panelled blast room installed at their facility.

Where noise reduction is paramount Hodge Clemco offer a purpose-designed range of equipment to meet these demands. The booths are manufactured from composite panels filled with a range of material options with a robust steel inner and outer skin. The modular design of the panel also means that the rooms can be installed in almost any size and configuration.

The installed booth comprises of a 2452NC blast machine, a full scraper floor and bucket elevator recovery system which is designed to automatically recover spent abrasive and contamination back to the bucket elevator using a series of pivoting blades fitted to a movable frame. The spent abrasive is then processed through the elevator system and separated, removing any contamination and recycling the cleaned abrasive back through the blast pot.

The 5,000 CFM reverse pulse dust collector is essential to the blast system. The size and type of dust collector has been carefully considered to ensure the removal of airborne particle from the environment to maintain efficient operation and clear visibility for operators.

The room includes a 4m x 3m air-powered bogie to allow for the free and easy movement of components of up to 5 tonne in and out of the blast room.

The room has been fully installed using our skilled and knowledgeable installation team ensuring the perfect finish. We hope the room will prove a great addition to their facility.
