An automatic filter cleaning system which can significantly improve the efficiency and convenience of surface preparation operations is now available on Hodge Clemco blast cabinets.

Instead of the usual filter bags, Hodge Clemco can now fit dust collectors with cartridges which receive a short reverse pulse of air at pre-set intervals, causing accumulated dust to fall into the collection bins below. The cleaning action takes place while the collector is in operation. The interval between pulses can be adjusted to suit different dust loading, ensuring that the filters always operate at optimum efficiency. Maintaining the efficiency of the dust extraction system results in improved visibility within the workchamber and so improves blasting productivity.

The system can be used with all Hodge Clemco standard blast cabinets, which are available in 800mm, 1000mm, 1250mm and 1500mm widths off-the-shelf, and also with custom-built blast rooms.
