Containerised Blast Room Extension

 

During the past year Hodge Clemco have been working on a project with cbe+ a company who specialise in corrosion protection as well as a range of other services, based in Chesterfield.

Back in March our engineers installed a standard 20ft blast room container that was 8ft wide x 8ft high x 20ft long at their site.

The room included:

Internal access from the plant room to blast room

3000cfm dust collector

2040 Blast machine, Sweep in floor hopper and Abrasive cleaning system

Steel floor plates

Internal lighting of the room

Electrical control panel, control lines, wiring and electric motors

3m Side mounted doors

Double skin insulated container roof

 

Since then we have continued to work with the company to make a much larger blast room to better meet their requirements, as they realised the initial install wasn’t large enough. So at the beginning of December we extended the work chamber from 8ft to 24ft by attaching two additional 20ft containers.

This modification required:

Attaching two 20ft blast room containers to the existing container.

Addition of a 1000cfm dust collector.

Additional lighting.

Modifications to existing control panel.

Sealed internally and externally to prevent any water ingress.
